New AMA CME Requirements

Effective July 1, 2011 — In accordance with the new AMA requirements, the ACR has set a minimum performance level of 80% to qualify for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for its enduring* and journal-based** CME activities. Each of these activities will now include a posttest that must be passed with an 80% score or higher within three (3) attempts in order for participants to claim CME.

* Enduring materials include any certified CME activity that is valid over a specified amount of time. This can include online, print, CD-ROM and video activities.
** Journal-based activities include any peer-reviewed article that is certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ before journal publication.
