The ACR opposes the use of fetal ultrasound solely for entertainment videos or keepsake images.
The American College of Radiology supports the American Institute for Ultrasound in Medicine's 1999 Prudent Use of Ultrasound statement.
The ACR's membership will be educated on the issues of fetal keepsake videos through the ACR E-News, ACR E-Bulletin, and the ACR website.
