SAN FRANCISCO — The Council of the American College of Radiology unanimously approved an emergency resolution today extending its "heartfelt sympathies and thoughts to the victims, their families and all touched" by today's terrorist attacks. The resolution was approved during the ACR's annual meeting in San Francisco.
"The ACR and its members are saddened by these needless and appalling events," said Harvey L. Neiman, M.D., chairman of the ACR Board of Chancellors. "The victims and their families are in our collective thoughts and prayers."
"As this Council meets, physicians, allied health care professionals and emergency workers labor to treat and comfort those affected by the attacks," the resolution stated. "The Council and College offer their support to our government leaders and stand in mind and spirit with all of the physicians, allied health care professionals and emergency personnel as they work to save the lives of the victims."
