Commission on Education
Continuing medical education is one of the highest priorities of the American College of Radiology. The Commission on Education is charged with motivating and coordinating efforts that will identify, assess, and meet the educational needs of radiology professionals. These efforts are intended to enhance professional practice for the purpose of improving the quality of patient care. The commission will encourage and support technological development and research in continuing medical education, and disseminate educational materials to the specialty. These educational activities and services shall include categorical courses, self-assessment activities, conferences, symposia, in-training examinations, programs for medical students, articles in the ACR Bulletin and other projects and activities recommended by the specialty commissions and approved by the Commission on Education (ACR Commission on Education, 2003). * Specialty includes: diagnostic radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear radiologists, radiology residents in diagnostic and radiation oncology, radiologic technologists and radiation therapists medical physicists and other allied professionals.
