Commission Goals

The goal of the Commission on Communications is to provide guidance and oversight for the College’s wide-ranging communication efforts. The Commission works to ensure that the membership remains up-to-date on the College’s activities, and that the general and specialty media, as well as the general public, are apprised of the role of the ACR and radiology in the complex health care environment. In realizing this goal, the Commission provides guidance to the College in the execution of current and planned communication efforts, including print and electronic publications, the ACR Web site, and the College’s marketing and public relations efforts. The Communications Commission also plays a key role in shaping the College’s messages on key issues and developing communications strategies for the timely and efficient delivery of critical information to the membership and other constituencies.
