AMA President McAfee to be Keynote Speaker at Centennial Convocation

The president of the American Medical Association, surgeon Robert McAfee of Portland, ME, will be the keynote speaker for the Radiology Centennial convocation April 30,1995 in Washington, DC.
The ceremony will begin at 5 p.m. in the ballroom of the Washington Sheraton hotel, site of the 1995 meeting of the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS). It will be followed by a reception jointly sponsored by ARRS and RCI.

John P. Tampas of Burlington, VT, RCI president, will conduct the event. Representing the RCI board of directors will be Helen C. Redman of Dallas, TX, RCI first vice president. Also speaking will be Daniel E. Johnson, Jr., a New Orleans radiologist who is speaker of the AMA House of Delegates; an industry sponsor representative; and a representative of other national medical specialty societies invited to attend.

The Eastman Kodak Company will contribute a visual presentation. Music and a color guard will be provided by a band from the Military District of Washington.

The convocation program will contain a listing of all donors to RCI as well as a list of sponsors, committee members, RCI directors and officers.

David O. Davis of Washington is chairman of the convocation committee. Serving with him are Leonard Glassman and David Buck, also of Washington; J. Frank Wilson of Milwaukee, WI; and Carl Mansfield of Philadelphia, PA.
