Federal Advisory Committee Representation
Federal Advisory Committees serve a critical function in a federal agencies’ decision-making process. They are intended to provide independent, professional expertise and technical assistance to agency staff. Each committee consists of experts with recognized expertise and judgment in a specific field. Members have the training and experience necessary to evaluate information objectively and to interpret its significance.
The time commitment required of committee members and the committee charges varies. Generally, committees meet no more than twice per year and travel expenses and a small per diem are paid. More specific information about service on a particular committee or panel can be obtained on that agencies’ website or through links below.
ACR members interested in being nominated to serve on a federal advisory committee should forward a copy of their C.V. to gloriar@acr.org. Please indicate which committees/panel(s) you would be interested in serving on.
