Learn More About S. 1338

S. 1338, the Access to Medicare Imaging Act of 2007, was introduced on May 8, 2007 by Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-WV) and Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-WV).  As the Senate companion to H.R. 1293, the purpose of this bill is to delay the technical component cuts for office-setting imaging services included in last year’s Deficit Reduction Act (DRA) of 2005.  In addition to Sen. Rockefeller, S. 1338 was originally cosponsored by Sen. Gordon Smith (R-OR), Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-MA), Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA), Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-GA), Sen. Herb Kohl (D-WI), Sen. Norm Coleman (R-MN), Sen. Robert Casey (D-PA), Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ), Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC), Sen. Blanche Lincoln (D-AR), Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Sen. Tom Harkin (D-IA) and Sen. Benjamin Cardin (D-MD).
