ACR Meets with MedPAC to Discuss Issues Facing Radiology
ACR Economics and Government Relations staff met with representatives from the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission March 29 and had vigorous discussions on a variety of topics including:
- Deficit Reduction Act
- Practice Expense
- Payment reductions for contiguous body parts
- MedPAC agenda for the current year
The College also provided input regarding MedPAC's equipment utilization survey and physician resource use initiatives.
The ACR and MedPAC will continue on open dialogue on these and other issues that impact radiology. The college will keep members informed of any developments via ACR Web site postings, ACR publication articles, and member e-mails when appropriate.
