Resources to Address Common Coverage Issues with Private Payers
Recognizing a trend among payers for routinely denying certain technologies as investigational, the Managed Care Committee developed several resources to assist members in educating their payers about these technologies. The Committee has developed resources on Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Full Field Digital Mammography (FFDM), Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) for mammography, and Contiguous Body Imaging Scans.
