ACR Counters Inconsistencies in Part B News
The ACR continues to take issue with comments printed by Part B News. In response to a September 27, 2004, Part B News article titled "Diagnostic Tests Without Orders Pose Billing Issues," John Patti, MD, chair of the ACR's Commission on Economics, submitted a letter to Part B News pointing out a number of inconsistencies in the article. The ICD-9 Board endorsed the ACR's position in a letter from Director Nelly Leon-Chisen.
The ACR also responded to the July 19, 2004, Part B News Special Report titled "10 Tips Gleaned From $2.5 Million Civil Settlement."
