About the 6th Annual Body MRI Update Meeting

The collective objective of the Body MRI course faculty is to offer help in improving and growing your body MRI practice by openly sharing experience and expertise. It is from this experience that the faculty will share with you how-they- do-it. Our faculty members are all well-published recognized experts in MRI and proven educators

Objectives

The objectives of the course are to provide each attendee with:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the technical foundation to a generalized set protocol for a 20 minute abdominal MRI examination by applying the essential sequences and interpret the significance of a bolus-triggered arterial phase enhanced image set
  • Formulate an outline for a comprehensive plan to set up a safe MRI environment for both patients and personnel within the magnet area
  • Understand diagnostic techniques using MRI to diagnose diseases of the solid and hollow organs of the abdomen and pelvis
  • Identify at least three new technology developments and applications for disease of the liver and for angiography
  • Analyze at least two techniques and applications of MRI in the setting of pregnancy
  • Describe the impact of the latest NSF and contrast risk reduction protocols as it relates to patient safety.

Hotel Reservation Information

Rates: $149 single or double rate, plus taxes, presently 12.5 percent and subject to change.

Reservation Methods: Reservations may be made by calling the Hilton Reservations Department at 1-800-782-4414 and requesting the ACR group rate or online at the reservations web page.

Hotel Reservation Policies:

Deadline: The ACR has reserved a limited number of sleeping rooms for meeting attendees. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and the ACR cannot guarantee that rooms will be available after the reservation deadline. of May 29, 2012. Reservations made after May 29, 2012, will be accepted on a space available basis and may not be at the ACR room rate.

Deposit: First night room deposit with a major credit card, which will be charge immediately upon completion of reservation.

Cancellation: If you wish to cancel your reservation, please notify the hotel at least five (5) days in advance of arrival.

Ground Transportation

Orlando International Airport (MCO) is located approximately 20 miles from the Hilton Lake Buena Vista Resort and taxi service is approximately $50, one way. Mears Transportation provided bus service between MCO and the resort for approximately $21, one way. Local Attractions

Orlando offers a great variety of theme parks, golf courses, shopping, spas, and outdoor adventures. Orlando continues to add to its world famous theme park attractions. In June 2010, Universal Orlando® Resort opened "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter," where guests can experience the magical world of J.K. Rowling's popular Harry Potter series. The new land at Islands of Adventure® features Harry Potter themed rides, dining and shopping experiences. SeaWorld's® water park, Aquatica, opened a new high-speed tube slide, Omaka Rocka. Walt Disney World® Resort broke ground on a three-year project to vastly increase the size of Fantasyland, the largest expansion in the history of the Magic Kingdom. Legoland® Florida will open in 2011 and will include more than 50 main attractions.
