ACR Value Statement for April 8

Members of the ACR Commission on General, Small, and Rural Practices served as primary reviewers and collaborated with other committees and societies in the revision of six practice guidelines of practical importance to all radiology practices for approval at the AMCLC 2013. This includes the Guidelines for Barium Esophagram and Upper GI Examination; Small Bowel; Radiologist Coverage of Hospital Emergency Department Patients; Barium Enema; DXA; and Imaging Pregnant or Potentially Pregnant Adolescents and Women with Ionizing Radiation.

ACR Value Statement for April 9

RADPAC® participates in more than 450 congressional fundraising events in Washington, D.C., and hosts more than 20 fundraising events for members of Congress throughout the country each year.

ACR Value Statement for April 10

The Commission on Human Resources conducted the first annual workforce survey of radiologists, radiologic technologists, and mid-level practitioners in radiology. The study focused on current and future hiring trends. The data from the study was published in the September 2012 JACR.

ACR Value Statement for April 11

The ACR Foundation International Outreach Committee conducted the first Radiology Education Days in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, in June 2012. The event drew 92 participants. The event was supported by the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists.
